Barb was born on November 20, 1933 in Duluth, MN, to Cecil and E. Marie Harris. She graduated from Central High School in 1951. Barb married Lawrence (Bud) Bernard Gordon, later divorcing. She met Ray R. Miller and they married December 1st 1962. Barb lived most of her adult life in Duluth, MN on E. 5th Street. Several different nursing homes became her final residences.

Barb enjoyed entertaining and her home was always full of family and friends visiting over a cup of coffee, baking and playing cards (Moosejaw Rummy being a particular favorite). Babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought Barb some of her greatest joy and she always made her family feel as if they were paramount.
